Career Guidance Group
Career Guidance Group plans and organises guidance activities for students to explore their paths in life planning as they move along different key stages - from “understanding own self” where they reflect upon their personal traits, to “understanding others” where they expose themselves to different prospect pathways, to “decision and action” where students can develop themselves as a whole person and pursue lifelong learning.
Hence, the curriculum for junior forms will guide students to discover their strengths, talents and interests, and give them a glimpse into the working world. It aims to encourage students to set their mind to their future. The curriculum for senior forms will bring the information and the skills for planning the tertiary and post-secondary studies to students’ attention as well as to set their foot in the workplace through job shadowing and other authentic opportunities. It aims to encourage students to fine tune their directions in life planning. In addition to the activities of different key stages, the use of career passport for regular self-reflections and the involvement of parents in students’ life planning are important elements of our life planning curriculum.
Besides, Career Guidance Group also administers a variety of scholarship nominations and applications, principal’s recommendations, mentor-mentee schemes and many more. We dedicate our efforts to enabling students to plan ahead for their future and excel themselves.
